I’m lucky enough to have a couple of spare bedrooms (for now) and it is so lovely to be able to offer friends a bed for the night if they want to come up to the Big Smoke to catch up with friends. Recently I was able to help out a friend from France who lived in the UK for around 13 years before realising that office drudgery and a daily commute was not for her. She followed her heart’s desire to set up a wine tour company in the South of France.
Shoshanna was my first longer term house guest as she stayed for a week, and, even though we’ve only met a couple of times we just clicked straight away and so I didn’t hesitate when she mentioned she needed a place to stay. She was over to practise her capoeira training, meet up with some website designers for her Vin D’Ange wine tours website and of course, to say hi to old friends. It was such a pleasure to have her to stay, she brings a real energy and such passion and free spirit to a place that you can’t help but want to spend time with her. She is super knowledgeable about all sorts of things so is never boring! If you’re into wine and wine tours, please do drop by Shoshanna’s Facebook Page and ‘like’ it for more updates. I know her website will be up and running soon and I’ll post more info on that when it becomes available.
Now I am looking forward to getting a lodger in Number 15 so that I can afford to pay for the rest of the fit-out for The Wash House.
This house is definitely made for friends and family. I love it so much.
