Snow in the garden

We had a bit more snow last night, large fluffy flakes which settled over the lawn and on the shrubs and branches of the trees.  It looked like someone had cut open a giant featherdown pillow and scattered the contents over everything.  It covered a multitude of sins in my garden (except the dog!)

To the right you can see our home-made hurdles around the veg patch.

Snowy Sunday

After my frosty pictures of Saturday I was keen to get out in the snow on Sunday!  Tess and I walked along the banks of the Wandle and it was lovely.  Loads of kids in sledges, being pulled along by their parents.  I should have loaned them Tess – she can pull!

The River Wandle was gently steaming in the cold air.  The snow was already starting to thaw and drip off the trees, and I even spotted some dried hops flowers.
